Behavioral research
It was the late 60's and the DEC PDP-8 mini computer was the first to break the 20K price tag. It put the Digital Equipment Corporation and Maynard, MA on the map. The computer was the size of a large micro-wave oven and came with 4K of RAM expandable to 16K. DEC and the PDP-8 series mini computer were making history and both GS and especially GR seized the opportunity to take advantage of it.
This would be the end of the behavioral product line for Grason-Stadler. Within a few years what was left of the 1200 series would be sold off to Don Church and from this point on GS would focus exclusively on hearing research instruments.
