Earphone cushions

The model 001 earphone cushion was a semi-plastic circumaural cushion of soft vinylite filled with viscous wax which molded via body heat to fit the contour of individual heads, providing an excellent seal. They were washable, enclosed 12 to 14cc of air, had superior attenuation characteristics, particularly in the speech range. Very comfortable, even for long wear. They were used predominately with the 260B Group Hearing Aids and 280A Auditory Trainers.
